"How to go Swimsuit Shopping"

Everyone from Drake to your peers know that when its the summer time you gotta get prepared!
The most exciting part of it...well for some and dreadful for others is swimsuit shopping. 

I have some easy steps to buy a swimsuit that is cute, fun and affordable.

The first step to buying a swimsuit is always being comfortable in your own skin. My motto is wear what makes you happy! Whatever you feel like majestically walking around in ...DO it! Don't let these magazines tell you that since you're considered a "pear shape" you can only wear tankinis"...Pshhhhhhhh as long as you exude confidence you'll look good at any pool party or beach!

"Errm Ummm a Couple of Missed Favorites"

Oh buddy! I have been missing in action for almost 3 months! Shame on me! TSk Tsk TSk.

I really don’t have a valid excuse other than just life. Lol

I’ve been working on a project or two which was and still is a priority but I have to fulfill my passion right? Yikitttyy (That’s Pops voice from the Wayan Bros. Show, Old folks reference Lol)

So I’ll be slewing out a coupling of post within the next few days but I figured I’d start with my Favorites of the Month post, since that seems to have a good following.

I’ll start with my favorite skin care products:

Cetaphil- $11 -$12:  It’s a simple face wash.  As we all know the summer can be harsh to our faces, so we have to make sure we are taking care of our skin. Cetaphil is scentless, gentle and powerful. It cleanses the skin without drying it out. Pretty much it’s only one to get the job done (giggles) for the summer madness. I use it at night and follow it up with witch hazel toner. 

"Spring Fling"

My favorite time of the year is approaching..... Spring!!!

I love the spring! What's that motto? Shorts get shorter, clothes get brighter and hair gets lighter? I am a true advocate of that motto!  

Then the fashion gods spoke onto the runways this year and gave us the permission to indulge into pastel before Easter!!! Lol

I am beyond elated with the new fashion trend of Pastel.

"Hadewa February Favorites"

It is March!!!! It wasted no time getting here!!!

Time gets more and more valuable every moment I look up. 

How has everyone been? I hope you’re still sticking to those New Year’s resolutions or new implemented lifestyles. 

Onto the goodies, just like February my list is short but sweet.

The first item at hand is makeup!

M.A.C lip Pencil: Night Moth -$15.00 

If you follow me on Instagram (Ms_isha) then clearly you know that I’m a lover of dark lipstick shades.  Night Moth is the epitome of perfection!  Now granted it is a lip pencil, I use it as a lipstick. Get a good lip primer, outline your lips first then start to fill it in …and wah-la you have a matte dark shade.

Hadewa January Favorites

Can you believe how quickly January flew by? Sheesh! I still remember what I wore on NYE. Lol

How was your first month of the year? Are you still striving towards your resolutions?

I decided to start a new feature on my blog called “My Favorites” it would entail a list of things that I found myself using repeatedly for that particular month.

So I’ll kick it off with hair products:

1. Dr. Miracle called Tingling 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner- $7.99
I was not buying into the whole Dr Miracle commercials other than them being funny and slightly “boughetto” I had no interest in using their products.  Well  my views are now changed. It has Vitamin A& D, Aloe Vera and Peppermint oil talk about Heaven on my scalps! It truly does tingle. Lol

2. I found  myself obsessing over this "One and Only" Argon Oil treatment - $9.99 8oz
It's a non-greasy oil & it helps protect my  hair from excessive heat. This oil seals and conditions my real hair and my bought hair. Lol I use a dime size of the oil, and start from tips to roots. I use it when I'm flat ironing my hair and also after I wash it (still wet).

"The Trip of a Lifetime"

Hi Fashionistas!!
I've been caught up with work and prepping for a long time friend wedding.
First Happy New year, Happy Holidays....yada yada.Lol
Now for the juicy stuff.... My friend got married this past December in Jamaica!!!!!
OMG!!! It was the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended.
From the location, to the hospitality, to the love! Everything was AMAZING!!!
I really don't know where to begin. My friend Muneera and her now HUSBAND Norman decided to tie the knot in Jamaica! Seriously, I was already thinking ummm yea vacay! Lol
 I'm going to try not to make this long...I promise. Lol 
We had so many activities lined up for us and goodies. (Everyone loves goodies)
Thursday, after we arrived and freshened up, the bride and groom set up a nice little meet and greet for all the wedding guest that were staying on the resort. All the attendees were required to wear white.
 So of course when the Bride informed us that they were having an all-white party I started rummaging through my treasure chest, I had two white dresses... One was a birthday dress that did a little much and, the other white dress ...Let’s just say I need to get rid of it because I think it’s cursed. (Long story lol)
I resorted to my ole 'ye faithful online shopping. I stumbled across Lulu's.com they have a nice selection of cute dresses, a little outside of my thrifty budget but I figured it was Jamaica I could splurge just a little. Lol

IT’S 2014!!!!

How are all my beautiful fashionistas doing?

I am beyond elated for this New Year! *Does cabbage patch dance*

That totally just revealed my age. Lol

2013 was an amazing year, but I was so ready for it to be over.

You know one of those really good movies it gives suspense, action, tears and great laughs but it’s extremely long?  Yea that pretty much sums up how I felt about 2013. Lol

I noticed I use “Lol” a lot with the straightest face ever. (so off topic …but I’m random like that)

Anyways I learned so much about myself in 2013 AND with that being said I’m so prepared to apply the ups and downs and make 2014 great!

Anyways here is some shocking news….. I did nothing for NYE!! (Jaws dropped all across America) I know I know so that naturally means I have no pretty pictures to put up. Bummer! Lol

 I worked on NYE, granted I did get dressed up but I  didn’t even bother taking pictures.

Next year I have a feeling it’ll be a little different  ;)
